Capacitation of Hamster Spermatozoa by Bovine Follicular Fluid

Abstract

THE factors responsible for mammalian sperm capacitation1,2 are not known. Experiments have suggested that, at least in the golden hamster, the active secretions come not from the oviduct or uterus3 but from the follicular fluid released into the genital tract at ovulation4.
