Die Infektion der Blätter vonCapsicum annuum undMangifera indica mit den BlattpilzenCurvularia ovoidea beziehungsweiselunata hat zur Folge, dass die freien Zucker Saccharose, Glukose und Fruktose verschwinden und dass der Gehalt an organischen Säuren (Apfelsäure, Zitronensäure, Oxalsäure) vermindert wird.
