Summary

A novel sphingosine derivative, symbioramide, has been isolated from the laboratory-cultured dinoflagellateSymbiodinium sp. as a sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca2+-ATPase activator, and its structure elucidated to be1 on the basis of spectral and chemical means.
