Summary
Oral ingestion by 2 melanuric patients of 20 g each of tyrosine and tryptophane did not result in a urinary increase of melanogen.
It appears from our experiments, in contrary to those ofEppinger, that neither tyrosine nor tryptophane are precursors of urinary melanin.
