Summary

The decrease of alcohol concentration in the blood and the excretion of alcohol in the urine were measured before and during the administration of levulose in 14 volunteers. The influence of alcohol on the metabolism of levulose was investigated. The experiments show that levulose accelerates the oxydative catabolism of alcohol in man.
