Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The oxidation of bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalence (BEDT-TTF) by CuC(BF4)·6H2O gave a new radical-cation salt, (BEDT-TTF)2BF4·CH3CN (I) with a tetrahedral anion which is metallic in nature down to 4°K.

    The structure of the organic metal, (BEDT-TTF)2BF4·CH3CN was established.
