Asymptotic solutions for electromagnetic waves in a nonlinear optical cylinder

Abstract

Interactions between electromagnetic waves and a cylinder with field-dependent permeability is considered. Asymptotic solutions which represent the solutions to modifications of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation are found, in particular, soliton solutions.
