Crystals of two mutants ofBacillus thuringiensis show increased toxicity against larvae ofSpodoptera littoralis

Abstract

Crystals of two asporogenous mutants ofBacillus thuringiensis var.kurstaki strain HD-1 obtained following treatment with ozone and N-methyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine showed increased toxicity against larvae ofSpodoptera littoralis when compared to the wild-type crystal.

Résumé

Les cristaux de deux mutants asporogènes obtenus après traitement à l'ozone ou au MNNG (N-méthyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine) deBacillus thuringiensis, ont démontré une toxicité accrue face à des larves deSpodoptera littoralis par rapport aux cristaux isolés à partir du type sauvage.
