Abstract

A rapid and simple method for the determination of selenium in biological and environmental samples by thermal neutron activation analysis, employing substoichiometric solvent extraction of Se/IV/ with 2-mercaptobenzothiazole /2-HMBT/ from 5. 7M HCl solution into chloroform has been developed.
