Review of conductor development for use in high-temperature superconducting cables

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento D

Summary

This paper reviews and assesses the progress in conductor development across the world in advancing high-temperature superconducting science and technology towards the fabrication of superconducting transmission cables operating at 77 K. Materials, fabrication routes and the feasibility of high-temperature superconducting cables will be discussed.
