Summary
The essential oil and a petroleum ether extract of the epigeal part ofArtemisia sieversiana Willd. have yielded a new sesquiterpene γ-lactone, sieversinin, with the composition C15H20O3, mp 141°–142°C, [α] 20D +57° which is evidently a stereoisomer of arborescin.
