Summary
Two molecular forms of topoisomerase I differing in size and sensitivity to camptothecin were isolated from calf thymus. Mapping of topo I cleavage sites of the cloned chicken αA-globin and human c-Ha-ras genes was carried out. Camptothecin was shown to affect site specificity of the topoisomerases.
