Widths of the 7.74 MeV analogue state in39K

Abstract

The38Ar(p, p)38Ar and38Ar(p, γ)39K reactions have been investigated in the analogue resonance region at Ep=1.39 MeV. For the 7.74 MeV state of39K branching ratios, unique spin and parity,\(J^\pi = \tfrac{3}{2} - \), proton and total width, Γp=Γ=1.1±0.2 keV, have been determined.
