Elastic and inelastic4He-scattering on208Pb,232Th and234, 236, 238U

Abstract

The angular distributions of the elastic4He-scattering on208Pb and the elastic and inelastic4He-scattering on232Th and234,236,238U at\(E_{4_{He} } = 50 MeV\) were measured between 20° and 60°. The4He-particles were detected with a position sensitive detector in the focal plane of a split-pole spectrograph. The aim was to get data to determine the deformation parameters of the equilibrium states by coupled channels calculations.
