Abstract
Using the (\(\vec d\),3He) reactions on90Zr and144Sm at 52 MeV spins of deeply-bound hole states have been measured for the first time. In contrast to neutron pick-up reactions the shell model strength is exhausted which enables us to derive the 1f and 1g spin-orbit splitting.
