Abstract

Excited states of126Ba have been investigated via the Sn(13C, 3n)-reaction by means of inbeam gamma ray spectroscopy using compton suppressed germanium detectors of the OSIRIS facility. 37 new levels were observed and spin and parity assignments could be made. Besides the ground and the quasi-gamma band two positive parity superbands and at least 4 more sidebands of presumably negative parity were established.
