Abstract

Since the competition between cluster and constituent multiparticle emission producing the same residual nucleus in a nuclear reaction depends on the mechanism of the reaction, thep n overd ratio in the16O(6Li,pn/d) reaction, measured between 10 and 19 MeV, is used to identify its mechanism as a function of energy.
