Summary
In adrenalectomized rats the mineralocorticoid activity of the aldosterone metabolite tetrahydroaldosterone was 1/50 of the activity of aldosterone. The two main metabolites of aldosterone, tetrahydroaldosterone glucuronide and 18-aldosterone glucuronide, showed no more mineralocorticoid activity.
