Hexobarbitalplasmaspiegel bei Patienten mit akuter Hepatitis während kontinuierlicher Hexobarbital-Infusion

Summary

A reduced hexobarbital tolerance was found in patients with acute hepatitis. Due to the fact that during a continuous infusion of hexobarbital the hexobarbital plasma levels increase more rapidly in these patients and that the concentrations in plasma necessary for the loss of the ability to count are reached at an earlier point of time, the reduced hexobarbital tolerance cannot be attributed to an increased cerebral barbiturate sensibility.

Zusammenfassung

Bei Patienten mit akuter Hepatitis liegt — gemessen am Zeitpunkt des Verlustes des Zählvermögens — eine eingeschränkte Hexobarbital-Toleranz vor. Da während kontinuierlicher Hexobarbital-Infusion bei diesen Patienten die Hexobarbital-Plasmaspiegel rascher ansteigen und die für den Verlust des Zählvermögens erforderlichen Konzentrationen im Plasma zu einem früheren Zeitpunkt erreicht werden, kann die verminderte Hexobarbital-Toleranz nicht auf eine gesteigerte cerebrale Barbituratempfindlichkeit zurückgeführt werden.
