Summary
Adult albino rabbits were injected into one eye with (3H) uridine. At various time intervals following the injections the amount of RNA-bound and acid soluble radioactivity was measured in the retrobulbar optic pathway. Evidence was obtained for a relatively slow transport of a small amount of macromolecular RNA along the axons of the retinal ganglion cells down to the nerve terminals.
