Summary
Relaxin was measured in cervico-vaginal secretion of non-pregnant women of reproductive age using the heterologous radioimmunoassay for porcine relaxin. It was detected in about three-quarters of the samples collected. The mean value of the 529 samplers tested was 599 pg/ml. There was a slight trend to higher relaxin values during the second week of the menstrual cycle.
