Summary
Operative procedures for treatment of unstable fractures and dislocations of the pelvis are: (1) Osteosynthesis, plating of the symphysis and plating or osteosynthesis with screws for the iliosacral region; and (2) Osteotaxis, closed reduction and stabilization of the pelvis by external fixation with different methods. Operative treatment is indicated in multiple injury patients or in cases of severe associated injuries. In uncomplicated cases, conventional conservative treatment can be applied as well.
Zusammenfassung
Operative Verfahren zur Behandlung unstabiler Frakturen und Luxationen des Beckens sind: 1. Osteosynthesen. Verplattung der Symphyse, sowie Verplattung oder Verschraubung der Ilio-Sacralregion. 2. Osteotaxis. Gedeckte Reposition und Stabilisierung des Beckens mit dem Fixateur externe mittels verschiedener Montageverfahren. Die operativen Verfahren sind bei Mehrfachverletzten und bei Vorliegen schwerer Begleitverletzungen angezeigt, bei unkomplizierten Fällen hat die konventionelle konservative Behandlung nach wie vor ihre Berechtigung.
