Summary

Based on own experiences with heart transplantation problems of isotopic and heterotopic transplants are discussed. Technical difficulties occurred especially in isotopic heart transplantations of dogs. Heterotopic transplants are easier to perform and show response to immunsuppressive therapy. By using Azathiprine a rejection crisis could be delayed but not prevented. The problem of effective immunsuppression seems to be unsolved.

Zusammenfassung

Anhand von eigenen Erfahrungen mit der Herztransplantation an Hunden wird die Problematik isotoper und heterotoper Transplantate besprochen. Technische Schwiergkeiten bereitet vor allem die isotope Transplantation beim Hund. Heterotope Transplantate sind technisch einfacher, weniger aufwendig und lassen den Effekt immunsuppressiver Medikamente erkennen. Durch die Verabreichung solcher konnte eine Immunreaktion verzögert, jedoch nicht verhindert werden. Das Problem einer wirksamen Immunsuppression bleibt weiterhin ungelöst.
