Summary
Computed tomography is the only method of radiological examination to show horizontal sections of the patient. Soft tissues, tumors, ligaments and hematomas can be evaluated. Regions, such as the acetabulum, os sacrum and iliosacral joint, that are difficult to examine by other means can be displayed. The examination is of little harm to the patient. The exhibition shows examples of fractures of the pelvis, part of which could only be recognized by CT. There are also examples of tumors, femoral-head necrosis and osteomyelitis.
