Summary
Hodgkin's disease (n = 58): 25 spleens involved; in 19 patients the stage differed postoperatively; of 45 scintigrams, 10 false-positive and 5 false-negative; of 42 lymphangiograms, 10 false-positive and 6 falsenegative; 2 patients died. Ruptures (n = 39): 38 traumatic, 1 spontaneous; 10 patients died (all polytraumatized). Werlhofs disease (n = 33): increase of thrombocytes. Splenomegaly (n = 18): increase of erythrocytes, leucocytes and thrombocytes. Anaemia (n = 16): increase of erythrocytes and haemoglobin. 'latrogenic' reasons (n = 14).
