Summary

Intraoperative ultrasonography (IOUS) using small, gas-sterilized probes is helpful in the following surgical procedures: (1) Localization of endocrine pancreatic tumors and ultrasonographically guided fine-needle cytology in pancreatic carcinoma; (2) To locate nonpalpable and nonvisible tumors of the liver and for ultrasound-guided subsegmentectomy; (3) Biliary tract; (4) Control of vascular anastomoses.

3. IOUS der Gallenwege zur Konkrementsuche. 4. IOUS der Gefäße zur Anastomosenkontrolle.
