Der Nierenwurm — Dioctophyme renale — (Goeze, 1782, Stiles, 1901) als Todesursache bei einem Mähnenwolf (Chrysocyon jubatus)

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem Mähnenwolf (Chrysocyon jubatus), der aus Buenos Aires kam und im Zoologischen Garten Frankfurt a. M. starb, konnte der Tod auf einen Befall mit dem Nierenwurm Dioctophyme renale zurückgeführt werden. Ein weibliches Exemplar von 46 cm Länge befand sich im Nierenbecken; weitere 8 (3 männliche und 5 weibliche) lagen in der Bauchhöhle.
