Evidence of Multiple Shape-Coexistence in 188Pb

Abstract

Using conversion electron and γ-ray spectroscopy combined with a recoil gating method, excited states in 188Pb have been investigated. Further evidence for two excited low-lying 0+ states has been found leading to an interpretation as a multiple shape coexistence in 188Pb.
