Abstract
We present a case of intestinal obstruction caused by a transomental hernia with an associated finding of a dissecting aneurysm of the superior mesenteric artery. These two rare conditions both cause acute abdomen with similar symptoms. This case shows the possible diagnostic pitfalls of transomental hernia.
