Summary
Vanadium is extracted quantitatively from sulfuric acid solution with 4-methyl-2-pentanol. This finding provides separation possibilities from the metals iron, cobalt, nickel, manganese, molybdenum, and titanium. The composition of the extracted compound is discussed and the number of the coordinatively bound solvent molecules was determined.
