Summary
The rate of pollen tube growth per hour ofSesbania aculeata Pers. under the infra-red rays was slower than the rate of pollen tube growth per hour under day light. When the infra-red rays were offered in combination with normal light or vice versa, in no case the rate of pollen tube growth per hour surpassed the normal rate of pollen tube growth per hour, under day light during the 4 hours' phase of growth.
