Summary
This report presents a method for the quantitative measurement of 4-hydroxy-3-methoxymandelic acid and homovanillic acid in plasma using gas chromatography, mass fragmentography, and stable isotope dilution. The method is suitable for fast diagnosis of neuroblastoma and for the follow-up of the affected patients: these preliminary results show good discrimination between controls and affected patients.
