New type of the “pencil”-thermoemission ion source

Abstract

In this iron source a long stick (“pencil”) made a sample. By means of an electromagnet the stick is tightened against the heated filament (thermoanode) in the form of a net. The pressure of the stick on the thermoanode is controlled by means of the feed-back system.
