We prepared superconducting Y-Ba-Cu-Oxide films using the technique of pulsed laser evaporation of the constituents from a sintered superconducting target onto heated SrTiO3 single crystal substrates a high vacuum chamber. Depending on the substrate temperature during evaporation and the temperature time profile in a subsequent annealing procedure we obtained specimens with critical temperatures exceeding 80 K and a transition width less than 5 K. X- ray diffractometry shows that our specimens consist of single phase orthorhombic material with a strong texture ( c- axis of the orthorhombic crystal is perpendicular to the film plane).
