Absolute transition probabilities of some Kr I lines

Abstract

Absolute transition probabilities for thirteen electric dipole lines arising from levels belonging to the 4p55p configuration of Kr I, have been measured. For twelve of these transitions, no absolute experimental values have been published to our knowledge. These results are compared with the relative transition probabilities reported by other authors and the calculations performed in intermediate coupling. The present work measurements support the improvements introduced by M. Aymar and R.A. Lilly for intermediate coupling calculations of transition probabilities in noble gases.
