Abstract

The α-master functions of the mode coupling theory for a binary soft-sphere mixture are presented. They are directly determined by the static structure factors Sq. The asymmetric stretching of the susceptibility spectra, which is mainly caused by the common von Schweidler high frequency asymptote, is well described by Kohlrausch fits. The stretching parameters and α-relaxation times for various correlation functions are discussed as functions of the wave vector. For small wave vectors two peaks appear in the density-density spectrum due to an interference of the inter-diffusion pole and the Mountain peak.
