Abstract

The phonon Raman spectra of Nd2-xCexCuO4 polycrystals before and after reduction were investigated. After the reduction, the frequencies for phonon Raman peaks at 125 cm-1 and 230 cm-1 associated with the vibration of Nd(Ce) ions changed, and the peak at 582 cm-1 possibly associated with the vibration of O(1,2) and Cu in the CuO2-plane sharpened. Some concise discussions about the results are given.
