Abstract

We have, for the first time, performed spin echo experiments in 3HeB, A at p = 28 bar and νo = 870 kHz. Only in the B-phase are the echoes similar to the normal fluid and then only if the excitation stays below 104°. Otherwise the action on the dipole torque yields multiple echoes in both superfluid phases. The decay of those echoes is intrinsic. No quantitative analysis in terms of spin-currents and -diffusion can be done due to the lack of a theoretical solution of the equations of motion.
