Abstract

The effect of superconductivity on conductance resonances in a mesoscopic wires is examined. For a normal, 2 dimensional wire, which possesses two 90° kinks separated by a distance d, the electrical conductance G exhibits resonances as d increases. When superconductivity is induced, we demonstrate that the resonances are suppressed for d is greater than the superconducting coherence length.
