The use of a microprocessor in conjunction with the IQ-200 quadrupole mass spectrometer simplifies the operation of the instrument considerably. The various modes of operation are described, including the operational advantages they offer. The IQ-200 plus microprocessor is a gas analysing instrument which lends itself for use in industrial production line processes, apart from its usefulness in R & D.
