Vosicki et al. were the first to observe 71Br in 1981 reported in the paper “Intense Beams of Radioactive Halogens Produced by Means of Surface Ionization” [89]. 71Br was produced by bombarding a niobium powder and a UC-graphite target with 600 MeV protons at the CERN ISOLDE facility.
