Optimization of cluster-counting transition radiation detectors

Abstract

The optimal parameters for cluster-counting transition radiation detectors have been calculated. The results for electron/pion separation at energies ∼ 10 GeV and for kaon/pion separation at energies ∼ 100 GeV are given.
