A new method for the correction of γ-γ correlation matrices

Abstract

A new method for the correction of γ-γ correlation matrices based on the unfolding of the detector response function is presented. Results from this unfolding method are given for coincidence data from the reaction 24Mg + 16O at a beam energy of 44 MeV. The method is compared with the standard correction method introduced by Andersen.
