Abstract

The P31(n, α)Al28 excitation function has been measured in the neutron energy range 2.5 −5 MeV, using the activation method. The experimental curve shows an oscillating behaviour around the average value. In particular the peak at En = 3.75 MeV seems to be correlated with that found in the σ(n, p) and σT cross section curves, at the same neutron incoming energy.
