Abstract

The performance of a plastic phoswich (400 μm NE102A + NE115) as an element of the focal plane detector for magnetic spectrographs was studied. When combined with the p/q selection by the spectrograph, the phoswich provides a complete isotope separation for light heavy ions in the energy range of some tens of MeV/nucleon.
