A light ion focal plane detector for the Q3D magnetic spectrograph with periodic cathode readout

Abstract

For the Munich Q3D spectrograph a focal plane detector of 1.2 m length appropriate for polarized particle induced reactions has been developed. Improved position resolution of the resistive wire proportional detectors is achieved by additional readout of periodic cathode structures.
