Abstract

The use of hexagonal cross-section NaI(Tl) detectors for nuclear structure studies is discussed. They are assembled in multidetector systems such as 12- and 14-piece sum spectrometers, halo and multiplicity filter employed in γ-continuum and discrete γ-ray spectroscopy. They are also used individually for detection of γ-rays in γ-γ energy correlation experiments, angular distribution and γ-multiplicity measurements.
