Abstract

A new polarimetry facility has been set up. The four polarimeters used in different geometries are equipped with silicon or carbon analyzers. Extreme care has been taken to cancel out false asymmetries from apparatus misalignments. To that purpose, an automatic beam centering system has been built, two polarimeters are always run simultaneously on both sides of the beam at symmetric angles and geometric means are performed on data reduction. The installation is described in detail and data analysis and calibration runs are presented and discussed.
