Abstract

Angular distributions for the (p,t) reaction at sub-Coulomb triton energies to 0+ states in the even Ge isotopes are described by coupled-channels calculations with wavefunctions consisting of neutron configurations only. No evidence is found for proposed shape instability or proton excitations.
