Abstract

Cross sections for elastic scattering of electrons from the charge and magnetic distribution of 13C have been measured. The data, covering a range of q of 0.4-3.4 fm-1 are fitted by a phenomenological charge distribution. The difference between 12C and 13C is analyzed in terms of the change in parameters of the Woods-Saxon potential used in a shell-model description of the nuclei.
